I run this site
notademocracy.com

I have been banned with
Forbidden

Referred From : (none)
Your IP : (IP HERE)
The Page Requested: /
Agent : Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5
Redirect Status : 403

I'm not sure what version of sentinal I'm running because I can no longer log on to see. I went to phpmyadmin and deleted my IP from the database (I think I did anyway) and I'm still coming up with this.

What a pain in the ass this application is at times. Most people can't get on the site with a mobile device such as a iPhone and all that.

In any case. I have been working for 3 days to try to get my access back. In the mean time, others are messaging me saying that they are getting banned as well and I can't unban them as I have lost my access.

It first happened when I logged in to the admin to try to add another user as a site admin. As soon as I clicked on it I got banned.

Open your ftp
Open .htaccess file which is on your root where config.php is.
Search for your ip and remove it. Save your file and upload it again, that will solve your problem if you have that file on the root. Let me know!

Is that a hack that someone did?

Wow I went to your site and I get ban too. I guess the problem is another one. I guess you made some modifications in Nuke Sentinel or the same file I was talking about .haccess. Hmmm

I haven't touched it.

It's basically set up the way it was set up when I launched the site.

You are probably getting banned for a couple of reaons;
1 You didn't add your IP to Nuke Sentinels blocker 'Protected Range' as described in the installation instructions
2 - Your IP2C (IP to Country) ranges are not up to date - though they should be if you are using NS 2.6.x

Well, the IP2C will not actually write a ban into the .htaccess or DB so this is definitely one of the other blockers. Problem is I cannot tell what the real ban is because I don't think the complete ban text was posted...

if memory serves me right you get banned if you click "edit admins" and not logged in as *god* admin (normal admins can't edit admins)

anyway, I made it to your site and didn't get banned so maybe your making progress Smile

Sounds like you may not be using RavenNuke(tm) (or at least the latest version) as we no longer show the Edit Admins applet if the user isn't *god* admin (going by memory though...).

I think this thread is probably in the forum which is confusing people. I also don't think you are using the latest RavenNuke (tm) or Nuke Sentinel 2.6.x as your IP2C data is definitely out of date as I got banned as well for having an invalid IP.
