Please inform me if I can put the new version of the fckeditor into the old versions of RN 2.10 and 2.20.

Is it necessary to make changes in the mysql tables?

Many thanks in advance.

It doesn't use any tables, but there are some other considerations (see the RN 2.3.0 installation instructions).

I hope to release a standalone version, possibly this weekend, which might help.

If by 'new' you mean the version of FCKEditor that ships with RN2.3 then yes.
You can get the download from [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] and there are instructions within the package.

nukeWYSIWYG 2.6.3 isn't available for download yet. The current download is 2.3.1.

You should consider upgrading to RN 2.3 also. Wink

Glad to help. You may also wish to consider upgrading to RN 2.3.0 as jakec suggested.

Confused...RN 2.3 already has the new version of FCKeditor. But I'll do some testing.

Completely confused!
RN2.3 has the latest I believe so I'm not sure why you tried to install a stand alone version.
In your original post you said you had sites using on RN2.10 and RN2.20 and you were recommended to upgrade to RN2.3 as that had the latest version of FCKEditor.

So, you have upgraded to RN2.3 and then installed a stand alone version of nukeWYSIWYG?

If that is the case I am wondering if there are some older FCKEditor/nukeWYSIWYG files left over from the RN2.10 and RN2.20 site. Does that sound possible?
You can run the file file_migration.php to help you find those files.

You can find the file in the UtilitiesFiles/File_Compare directory of the RN package.

Eduardo, I do not believe the problem is with content plus. Did you make changes to the mainfile and config files, or just overwrite the includes/fckeditor files? The mainfile and config changes weren't necessary as these were already included in RN 2.3.0.

Please pm a link and, if possible, FTP access to your site and I will take a look.

OK. I have created a great confusion. I'm sorry.

Today I have installed along with RN 2.3 Content Plus in a sub domain.

Unfortunately FCKeditor does not work.

I will send you by PM all access data to check and fix the problem.

I haven't checked the files yet, but I found the following:
- FCKeditor displays and submit news appears to work correctly
- admin adding a category, the WYSIWYG editor is not displayed
- admin adding a page, the WYSIWYG editor IS displayed, but neither the title or the text are recognized (error that they are empty)
- user adding a page, the WYSIWYG editor IS displayed, but title and text not recognized (error that they are empty)

This indicates possible problems with the Content Plus files themselves.

I was able to replicate some of this on my test site, so I'll look into the code now.

The add category function doesn't have the WYSIWYG code, and it uses a variable called description, which will need to be renamed as variables with script in the name cause problems with the editor. Since the edit category function also does not use the WYSIWYG editor, I'm assuming this is by design.

On to the page functions next...

I think there might be a newer version of Content Plus available from the SourceForge site so it might be worth trying that before investing heavily on testing older code?
Just trying to save you making changes that might already be fixed or get wiped out.

Thanks, I'll look into that. I was using the version that came with RN 2.3.0

Just trying to save you some time Smile

Updated to 2.2.1:
- admin adding a category, the WYSIWYG editor is not displayed:
appears to be by design
- admin adding a page, the WYSIWYG editor IS displayed, but neither the title or the text are recognized:
still occurs, but not if Page Text is specified - was using only Header Text). There may be pages without Page Text, so I would suggest this edit be reconsidered
- user adding a page, the WYSIWYG editor IS displayed, but title and text not recognized (error that they are empty):
see adding a page as admin
