The .sql file will contain your password hashes, possibly allowing them to fake a user or admin cookie to grant them access to your account.

No actual password is saved, however there are certain sites and programs that can track hashes back to their equivalent password (mostly in the case of simple passwords).

If you have a Privileges area in phpMyAdmin, you can create new users and such. If not, use the user that you use to login into phpMyAdmin.

I have uploaded all the files in the html folder. How do i create a database throught that?

on howtoinstall it only says

Create a new database using whatever method your host has provided for you to do this.

And i don't know how...

Examples for cPanel are included in the link I mentioned above. You will have to check with your host for specific instructions if you don't use cPanel.

When talking with your host please keep in mind that the database and user creation are totally independent of your application.

Can I ask what has made you opt for Webspell?

Curosity? Something missing in RN?

May be it is something we can work on in a future release. Wink

It's possible to use MySQL without cPanel. I have sites running on 1and1 servers and they don't use cPanel. It is hard to cover every control panel that hosts use, but if you can setup a MYSQL database and user it is easy. Usually a host will give you instructions on setting up database etc.

....but cPanel is probably the most common and what people are familiar with therefore there is more guidance available.

putte23, outside of having RavenNuke(tm) be a part of something like Fantastico, where it just does a one-click installation of everything, every script author must assume that the one installing it has familiarity with how to set up a mySQL database, to FTP files, etc. We just cannot account for every possible host setup and experience level that is out there. We do our best, at times at the ire of the more experienced folks, but that is all we can do.

Good luck with Webspell. Sorry that we couldn't help you.

Regards,
montego
