Hello all, I have created a group and want the block only to be seen by the group I have created. I notice in the block settings is shows a box where groups should be but it only shows Moderators ?
how would I go about solving this issue?
cheers all
mrix

You can setup groups in the Edit Groups section under the Admin Menu, you should also be able to do it in the forums administration.

Where did you setup your group?

I believe that, for the purpose you are talking about, you need to do the first thing Jakec said, set the group up in edit groups ... not in Forums. Reason is that nsngroups knows about and at least partly synchronizes with Forums groups but not vice versa. So if you create a forum group it won't be created in the nsngroups tables. I don't have time to confirm this this morning but I'm pretty sure about it.

Hi again, I have tried setting up a group in both but unfortunately when I go to the module or block to set it to the correct group it still only shows as Moderators is the only option?
thanks for the help

Can you just confirm that when you go into ACP and then edit groups you see the newly created group. Also that there is at least one user in that group. The nsngroup administration screen will show you these. Thanks.

mrix, it has to be something you're doing in the setup. I use this feature all the time in RavenNuke. I'm pretty sure you and fkelly are on the right track.
