save DB broken?

My database in offline machine is working fine, I sent the DB to the host for them to manually upload it for me, the problem is they successfully uploaded the file but the DB now is corrupted.

What is the cause of this?

Several questions:
- How is it corrupted?
- Did you (or your host) try to repair it?
- How did you send it to the host? In what format?
- Could it have been corrupted after uploading?
- What application are you using?
