I am a bit of a noob when it comes to nuke. When I try to install new blocks on my ravennuke site they dont appear, I saw on another thread that this might be a problem with my install.

However I'm not sure if I'm installing them right, do I just paste the block-.php file into the /blocks/ directory?

I first noticed this when trying to get the donatometer to work, but I tried another block and had the same problem.

Is there anything I can do to fix it? Preferably that wont destroy what I've got done allready, because I've spent a lot of time over the last couple of days getting it done. My Modules work fine.

After you put the blocks into the blocks directory you have to go into administration / blocks and activate and position the block.

Yeah, they don't appear on that list though.

Phew. It took a little looking but here's the scoop. When you go to blocks administration from the general admin screen, you'll get a list of already installed blocks. Those are blocks that are both in the /blocks directory and in the blocks mysql table.

Then you'll see a "add a new block area". You can put title for you new block there and then click on the filename drop down. A list of all the block-xxx.php files that are in your /blocks directory will be presented. Pick whichever one you want to add and save it. You can then come back and position it where you want. The program (/admin/modules/blocks.php) just does a read on the /blocks directory for files starting with block- and populates the drop down list with them.

They don't appear to be in that dropdown either.

EDIT: Sorry, I'm mistaken, I was looking at the wrong drop-down list.

Embarassed

Thanks!

Chris
