Email on new topic

Currently I am using Devil's module 'New Article Subscription' to notify users when news is posted on my website. My experience is that this is a great way of attracting members to my site.

I think the idea is great, but the module definitely needs improvement.

Would it be an idea to integrate something like this into RN?

Features I am missing now are:

Missing a switch of sending messages individually or combine all receivers into one message (some providers don't accept loads of mail at once, and some don't accept 100 recipients in one message).

When sending email to e.g. 100 users: a small pause between emails. Some providers don't accept 100 emails in a few seconds.

The module is not using the nuke_users table. A pity. Now there must be an extra table in the database.

You can use the built in HTML Newsletter for that as you can also include a pre-determined number of forum posts, downloads, weblinks etc as well.

Any module that uses its own tables is always better than one that alters the core nuke tables from a maintenance point of view.

Mmmm... the module I use now sends automatically a message with a link to the posted article. I really have to do nothing. It's 100% automated. And that is what I like!

In my opinion it should be a standard feature of nuke.
