ok log store but my whole forum got deleted and i am trying to rebuild it. do when i do use the backup database i have? do i install the site with the nuke.sql than get site up or do i reload the database than set it up?

what you mean by "log store" ?

In any case,if i read it correctly...
just install new and then replace sql with you backup sql

well yea i think that answers it. i lost my db and my fourm. the db is from just plan old nuke php 8 so i am not sure.

well you can only use a backup that belongs to your present site..
or you will loose to much..

ok well hmm i mean it resores the back up fine. but what all would i be missing and can i port it out of what i am using now the a full without restoring the database

mm, although i try hard to read what your saying,i still have problems to understand it...
it almost looks like your text is translated...lol

best i can say is,restore your database ,and use your current site...
if any any problems show.....just solve that 1 at a time.....

ok well. what i did was use a back up of my old site which was 8.0. than i installed this 7.6 with all its stuff, restored my old database in this version. not sure what all i have lost by doing this.

well that depends....
make sure all is working...including sentinel...etc,just try your site and its functions....
