Admin folder got overwritten

Some how my admin folder got over wrote, probably with an FTP account that created an admin folder. I uploaded a new admin folder from the distro but it didnt seem to fix the fact that I cant get to the admin pannel. Any ideas?

What exactly do you get when you go to the admin panel?

Blank page = error probably, enable error reporting and check your error logs
Cannot login = perhaps hacked account, check your authors table using phpMyAdmin
something else? let us know

eh disregard this is something else, I am getting a forbiden message when hitting mydomain.com/admin

I already checked my .htaccess

Is there more to that URL than what you posted? If you are trying to log into your administration control panel, you need to use:

mydomain.com/admin.php

Unless, of course, you renamed your admin.php file (not recommended if you are using NukeSentinel - its protected anyways).
