Hi

I have just updated the TOS in the Language file. For new members, it shows up very nicely in the registration process.

BUT

Even though I have the site set to demand acceptance from Existing Members to accept new TOS's, AND despite the deltion of cookies on my computer, I don't get to see the new TOS and I'm not forced to accept them when I log in to my site.

I'm using Your Account v 4.4.2, in Nuke 7.8.31

Can someone suggest how to get the site to force existing members to see the new TOS and to get them to tick their agreement to them please?

Thanks

Martin

You could change the cookie name which would cause existing cookies to fail then set up a redirection from the log-in page to your new TOS and then onward to the log-in page proper.

dsnail - have you done a forum search, as there are amny threads on this subject.

Thanks for the reply.

I've seen this script in action on another site...
If the TOS are changed, when someone logs in, they ought to be redirected automatically to the "TOS" page, just like new members get. They then have to tick the box that they are happy with the TOS and then they get into the site. It's this bit that's not happening on my site.

How do cookie names get changed anyway?

OK this is an arse about way of doing it but run this in PhPmyadmin

Code:
UPDATE `nuke_users` SET `agreedtos` = '0'

This will have to be done every time you update your ToS.

Trub

P.s. Bit late for the reply but I was searching for something else.
