auto poll script hack

i was wondering if there is anything i can do to create an auto voter for a radio type poll. the poll allows one vote per ip. is there anyway i can get around it

or..is there a way i can create a link that when pressed it automatically votes for a certain choice on a poll

I haven't seen a tweak or survey replacement that does this. It should be possible though.

If the actual voting is done via a url yes it can be done easily.
I use a piece of software for load testing stuff and recently for testing the flood setting in Sentinel, its called Alexa Booster.

They have a 3 day demo (you can do a lot in three days Smile

) but it is essentailly a paid software prog.

Whilst it might seem expensive at $34 it does have a variety of uses.
Unfortunately it can also be used in an abusive manner, e.g hitting hacker sites with 50,000 hits an hour (or far more if your connection can handle it) sending their bandwidth sky high, artificially inflating topsite or other scripts that us a url to 'vote' etc.
Of course I could never condone such abuse, nor would I attempt to do something like using it to repeatedly load the biggest file I can find on a hcker site - heaven forbid I should stoop so low.

do you think this program will work with this kind of a voting site. it only limits one vote per ip, which will be a big problem for alexa booster

Why would it be a problem for alexa booster?
It has an in-built text file containing a list of proxy servers which you can edit if you need to.

If you look at the page source code, you should be able to work out the form value.
I'm not going to do it for you though as that would make it appear as though I was condoning the 'cheat' you are proposing.
