AVATARS

Hello all,

I have been reading about the avatar issues on the forums here.

It looks as if a members would like to have there own avatar it would be best for them to give it to me so I can put it in there profile for them..

So, in a test run I have made a directory and put a avatar in it and under
php ACP/ Profile Information have added the link to the avatar. My avatar shows up in the CMS / Your Account, and shows up in the site Info Block, but does not show up in any post to the forums. So I then put the image into /modules/Forums/images/avatars/ xx.jpg and then went to phpBB ACP/User Admin/Management/ and put in the Link to off-site Avatar the URL to the image. it shows up in the Avatar control panel profile, but once again it does not show up in any post.. So how does one input a avatar for a member/user ?

I am not as big of a noob as I was when I started, lol, but still a noob....

PS.

When I go to Forums/profile I do not see my avatar, I am lost...

You should upload the avatar to;
modules/Forums/images/avatars/gallery
this is if you want to share the avatar with other users.

If you do not want to share the avatar, you can probably put the inage anywhere and edit the users FORUM profile to link to the image.
NOTE: Avatars are set in the forum profile only, trying to change it in Your Account will probably break it.

No, I just want each member to have there own avatar, no sharing.
I have edit my own forums profile, and like I was saying it shows up in the /block/site info, and in my /forums/edit/profile...

But not on my post to the forums. Could this be related to the no linking off site avatar not being set.
