Are you using siteground? Within the last 12hours, my CAPTCHA image will not load either. I have not changed any files since my site went live a couple weeks ago.

I have not disabled CAPTCHA yet, ...

What are the filenames of your avatars?

Have you got shortlinks turned on?

the filenames range anything between 01.jpg (example) to icon_happy.gif to laskfj832lafsd.jpg.
