to get $db-> stuff to work in Nuke 6.0 or less only takes 2 steps:

1. copy the html/db directory from a Nuke 6.5 or higher env to your 6.0 or lower html/ directory.

Well, I've been basing all recent nuke envs on your 6.9 with phpbb2.0.6 release.

i find it the most stablest and secure when i apply chatserv's 2.1 patches (2.2 now).

nuke 7.0+ has subscriptions ...

Kaput theme banners don't work.
Fix:
change global statement to:
global $user, $banners, $sitename, $slogan, $cookie, $name, $prefix, $dbi;
also while you're there, change the word NukeNews that ...
