Hi everyone,

phpBB Group announces the release of phpBB 2.0.21, the "Bertie's Summer Vacation" edition. This release is a cumulative bug fix update, as well as including a number of minor security fixes. We have altered the visual confirmation system used on servers without zlib enabled to bring it up to the same level as that used elsewhere and made a few small performance improvements.

As with all new releases we urge you to update as soon as possible. You can of course find this download available on our PHPBB downloads page. As per usual four packages are available to simplify your update.

Full Package
Contains entire phpBB2 source and English language package

Changed Files Only
Contains only those files changed from previous versions of phpBB.
Please note this archive contains changed files for each previous release

Patch Files
Contains patch compatible patches from the previous versions of phpBB.

Code Changes
Contains step-by-step instructions in MOD format for updating heavily MODified installs

Select whichever package is most suitable for you.

What has changed in this release?

Note:
phpNuke users: This NOT the update for you. Chatserv or Evaders99 will shortly be releasing the phpNuke version.

Recent Attacks and NukeSentinel(tm) More about

Posted on Tuesday, June 06, 2006 @ 11:40:19 CDT in NukeSentinel (tm)
by BobMarion

As more and more is learned from the recent and ongoing attacks you will see rapid NukeSentinel(tm) versions being released to protect against them. These rapid releases will 9 times out of 10 involve the includes/nukesentinel.php file being updated with new filters/changes to help safe guard your site. The new releases will be posted via NukeScripts Network and RavenPHPScripts web sites. I recommend checking in at these two sites 2 or 3 times daily for the next while.
