Since yesterday, 3/22/2005, my site has been under a DOS attack. Today I received several "ransom" notes, extortion, from the user identifying himself as "madman2". He also left a post in the forums for all to see. Here is his demand with a time line in it and since I did not comply, and I won't, he continues his childness:

Message: hi if you want me to stop the dos attack then you must deal with me contact me ASAP i can stop attacking ur site if you give me one exclusive phpnuke theme contact me asap ;) mail me shoeb964@hotmail.com
if u dont contact me in the next 20 min i will start attacking your site
He also left one other email with this email addy: sabzal Baloch: sabzal@gmail.comNote:
I have not taken this lightly. Complaint number I05032317246089 has been filed with the FBI an will be pursued vigorously. If you have information that would be pertinent to this case, please contact me.

Wish it were that easy. He forges the User Agent and the incoming IP's. We were able to trace yesterday's to 80.203.37.220 . Today's were from Sudan and elsewhere. We've put together quite an extensive log that will be given over to the Federal authorities. We have also added other apps to .. well, I don't want to give our hand away. |
