Absolutely and it's quite easy, as far as the database goes. In the 7.0 upgrades folder, just run the upgrade script upgrade69_70.php. You will need to replace your 6.9 files with the 7.0 files and that may involve customixation if you have modified any of those files. |

The files in the nuke 7.0 distribution will overlay the 6.9 files. If you have blocks/modules that are not in the 7.0 files then they will not be affected. The way I always do my upgrades to my site is
- Set up a virgin installation (in this case 7.0)
- Make a clone of my current version database (in this case 6.9)
- Modify new config.php file for the cloned database access
- Copy the upgrades/upgrade69_70.php file to the 7.0 main folder
- Run
- You should now have a working 7.0 installation using your current 6.9 (now upgraded) tables
- Now start moving all your customizations, whether they be add-ons or core code from your 6.9 installation |
