I recently upgraded my Your Account module to CNB Your Account v4.4.2. I noticed something wrong when I tried to login in my website (not as Admin). In the User Info block the old Security Code bar is displayed. Below is the image:

When I login, it won't let me (even with the right code). Instead, it will take me to a different login page with a new Security Code bar in it by CNB. In the page with the new Security Code bar, I can login without any problem. Below is the image:

I like the new Security Code bar from CNB. How can I place it inside the
User Info Block & make it work?

I also noticed something in my Feedback page yesterday. There used to be a security code in it also but it's gone now. Im not sure if it has something to do with CNB Your account or not. Below is the image:

I'm guessing you're using RavenNuke. CNB is being updated to be included in RavenNuke - it will be called RNYA. I think there is still more extensive testing to be done, but just to let you know it will be in a future version.

Perhaps someone on the board with more experience with the security code will be able to show you the exact changes necessary to have this done.

First of all, the "new code" that you are referring to is actually the OLD *nuke way of doing the captcha which is NOT secure from spammers. Spammers can automatically get passed the old captcha (the one with the numbers).

If you are truly using RavenNuke, then I would re-upload the Feedback module code as that screen shot does not look right. You might want to try using FileZilla as your FTP client and/or try upload in binary mode if your target server is Linux.

Regarding CNBYA, honestly? I would use the stock RavenNuke Your Account module for now until what we have cookin' in the kitchen comes out. But, if you are hell bent on continuing forward with it, you may have to customize the CNBYA code itself to use the captcha from RN rather than the OLD one from *nuke.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yes, I'm using RaveNuke 100%. This security code problem I got only happened when I replaced the dafault Your Account module that comes with RavenNuke CNB Your Account. I kinda like the CNB You Account module coz it got some options that you can't find with the default Your Account module (suspend, deactivate, activate...). Anyways, it's not really a big of a problem. Users still can login to my site. It's just the hassle of being redirected to another login page if you try to login on the User Info block. I'll just stick with this CNB module for now until you release that RNYA.

Don't forget if you are using ShortLinks that the taps for that will probably not match the CNBYA module so that is something else you may have to modify.

There is really not a Ravennuke CNB Your Account module yet. We are working on it. Montego's advice a couple of posts back to stick with the default YA that comes with Ravennuke until the next release is the best advice you will get. You are perfectly correct that CNBYA that is out there "in the wild" has a lot of features that the standard YA doesn't. It also has a lot of bugs that the standard YA doesn't. Many of the bugs are "minor" ... undefined variables, notice errors and the like and the RN team is working on quashing them and testing the functionality. Your choice of course but patience is the recommended option here.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll take your advice in mind. By the way, I have an advice also. I think it would be better to upgrade the Download module on the next release. The current Download module is outdated. Its function in terms limiting download access in Groups is very limited especially if you're using a Subscription module (like WS Subscription V2). A RavenNuke version of NSN Downloads is nice. Very Happy

Believe me, its been thought of. Not too long ago I was going to recommend exactly that as I have an almost fully XHTML compliant version sitting on my test server. However, the author, BobMarion, has come back on the scene in force - clap-clap-clap - and he has a replacement module that might be even better (have not seen it yet). I'm kind of giving time to see what he does with it.
