Users can register using some disallowed names

Disallowed names have been added to the forum User Admin area, but most of these names are still allowed during the registration process - while some are not allowed Question

This is a brand new site. I had someone sign up with a bad word, and I would like to stop this. I deleted that username, but I can still register it as well as some others that are banned but were never registered before.

I was using the 7.6 package downloaded from here with the 3.1 patch and Sentinel, so I upgraded to patched 3.2 to see if that would help. However, the problem still persists. Can anybody tell me is there some other way I can stop users from registering with bad words without having to approve memberships?

Unfortunately phpNuke does not use any of the phpBB account configurations. You will need to modify the userCheck function in modules/Your_Account/index.php to stop people from registering with disallowed names
