I am running 7.6 with patch 3.0
I recently upgraded to CBN AP 4.4.2
Since the ugrade to CNB YA 4.4.2 I note there is a change to the background image displayed for the security code.
As well as the 'User Registration/Login' module, I aslo have the (Standard) 'Log In' Block, 'User Log In' block and 'User Info' block installed.
When checking all the blocks, I note the folllowing:
User Registration/Login module - Original Image Chequered, now solid gray
(Standard) 'Log In' Block - Original Image Chequered, now solid gray
'User Log In' block - Original Image Chequered, now solid gray
'User Info' block -Original Image Chequered, now Chequered
Adiminstration Login Module - Original Image Chequered, now Chequered
So the ultimate question is how can I change the security code background image so that all the aforementioned modules and blocks display the same image, (either chequered or solid gray)? |

Originally I thought that the Security Code background image being displayed for each module and block would be the same file, but this problem I highlighted made me realise it is not.
I guess I now need to work out where each image file is located and replace it.
Here the ultimate question is, 'Is one image 'safer' to use than the other?...(i.e. Is one better for security?)...Something tells me that the chequered images is. |

No no,your making a problem out of something that isnt there...
You can usa any background image you like, make it purple,yellow...green who cares....lol
the only 2 images you need to change then is in images/admin and in images/
those 2
but if use the same extension like PNG or JPG.
Standard is jpg.. |

hitwalker the reason I did not think I was making something out of nothing is because i thought that 'complex' images, such as the chequered background, is better for security and is ore likely to confuse any of these auto hacking programmes you can get...or whatever they are.
That is why these days, I thought many websites use 'scrambled' and hard to recognise security codes that we can barely read with our eyes....(i.e. so that computers find it almost imposible to interpret with their character recognition systems etc). |

Hitwalker is saying is that you can use a scambled image or any other image you like. Some nukers only use the security code for administrative access, rather than for both user and administrative access. |
