Normally you have to be logged in to run the installer and afterwards can immediately access the admin area.

Ok I take it you
Edited the includes/javascript.php
Edited the header.php
Added to mainfile.php the line:
include("includes/sentinel.php");
And ran the installer for a clean install?

Odd, I have not done the editing of the include/javascript.php and the header.php file. However, I did add the line to the mainfile.php and it seems to be ok now I think. I will go and edit the toher 2 now and cross my fingers. Smile

Ok, I misread something. I don't have to edit those files because I am using the files that were provided in the preset folders/directories. So, for now, I think everyting is working ok, I have not yet received an error and I have gone through all the configurations again. I will keep poking around inside and make sure I don't have any other errors that may surprise me. Thanks for your help Smile

Great sometimes all it takes is closing the browser and opening a new window so the site isn't being loaded from the browser cache of the site.

ok, well now I just found this:
Warning: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in /home/httpd/vhosts/digital-directss.com/httpdocs/mainfile.php on line 2

Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/httpd/vhosts/mydomain.com/httpdocs/mainfile.php:2) in /home/httpd/vhosts/mydomain.com/httpdocs/modules/Forums/admin/index.php on line 620

Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/httpd/vhosts/mydomain/httpdocs/mainfile.php:2) in /home/httpd/vhosts/mydomain.com/httpdocs/modules/Forums/admin/index.php on line 621

The mainfile error on line 2 is where it says I have it in the wrong directory is where I have added the "include("includes/sentinel.php");" on.

Oh man...... Bang Head

include("includes/sentinel.php");
That line should be ok with the open_basedir restriction. You might not be able to use the htaccess ban though. Make sure its exactly as I have it above.

The other errors are to do with the output buffering you can check out the faq's [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

Well, I had to remove all tables and everything from the DB because my whole site would not work. I had to reset all Tables from a backup I had done just prior to installing sentinel. I REALLY want to get this thing to work. I will keep mess'n with it and see what happens. Bang Head
