Using CGI Auth and switching to a Dedicated IP

I am switching my hosting plan to use a dedicated IP, any changes I need to make in preparation for this? Currently my path to my htaccess file is like:
/home/content/s/p/a/username/html/.htaccess

similar for the staccess file....

I assume I might need to change these with a dedicated IP?

no, i dont see why it should change,your still on a hosting account that has a name attached to it like the path you typed.
and although you go to dedicated,if there arent any setup changes to different server etc...the path stays.../home/content/s/p/a/username/html/.htaccess
