Holy Bible module

I am trying to modify this Boble module so that it is in the New America Bible format (Catholic). I'm running into two problems. One, I can't get the brackground of the new page to clear so that it matches the background of the theme. The second thing I'm trying to do without having to change the link source in every Bibile chapter is change the link source of certain links to go to a particular site. Here's the link to the module. The edited book is Genesis Chapter 1. Any help is appreciated.
