I was trying to play around with sentinel (having just installed it), so I added my range to the Protected IP's. I then blocked 00.000.000.000 - 255.255.255.255 , and was expecting to be the only one unblocked. I had a feeling something might go wrong, so I set it to only be blocked for 1 day, but still why would the Protected IP range not work ?

Example of what I added to protected IP range :
My Ip 255.255.240.12
I added 255.255.000.00 - 255.255.255.255 to the protected IP range.

Another Problem :

I have gone into my PHPMYADMIN and can see all 8 tables for Sentinel, but cannot see the list of Blocked and Protected IP's.

Any Ideas ?

Protected means protected from being banned IF you're not blocked. It doesn't protect you from being blocked.

You should be seeing 11 tables, not 8. That might be the reason Wink

I actually have twelve on the left frame in phpmyadmin

nuke_nsnst_admins
nuke_nsnst_blocked_ips
nuke_nsnst_blocked_ranges
nuke_nsnst_blockers
nuke_nsnst_cidrs
nuke_nsnst_config
nuke_nsnst_countries
nuke_nsnst_excluded_ranges
nuke_nsnst_flood
nuke_nsnst_ip2country
nuke_nsnst_protected_ranges
nuke_nsnst_tracked_ips

When I click on the Blocked ranges, a lot of options show up on the right frame, but I dont see any ips.
Just a table with
Field Type Attributes Null Default Extra Action
and at the bottom tables:
Indexes Space usage Row Statistics

any idea on where I would go to find the blocked ip ranges ?

You are clicking on the wrong button/selection in phpMyAdmin. You need to click/select the Browse tab at the top or the browse icon on the table listing. You are looking at the structure and not the data.

Thank you very much for your help. Not sure if godaddy and their limiting of phpmyadmin made it harder for me to find it.
