I help a friend out with a site and without consulting me she moved host. During the move something has gotten hosed up. "Your Account" is not accesiable and gives you an error "You can't access this file directly...". Also, from the admin section (I was able to log in as admin) every function I try to access (IE Modules, Block, Users, etc) I get "Access Denied".

So, my solution is to rebuild the site with RN 7.6... What I need to know is the following...

Forum Post - Can I just insert the forum post into the new database?
Users - Ditto?

Other than that the rest we can stand to drop...

Thanks

kerflop, if your original 7.6 database was at the 3.1 patched level, including phpBB 2.0.19, it should be a piece of cake. Export just the data (not structure) from your original database (hopefully you still can?), just the tables that you want / need, and your errors, if any, should be minimal.

However, it may still work, even if you were not at the 3.1 / 2.0.19 level, if you are selective in what you take and the errors my be easily resolved by adjusting your data.

When I upgraded from my 7.5 site to RN76, I got the database very close using the upgrade scripts which come from the nuke distro and reconciled some of the patch upgrades as well, and then the data came in very clean.

Good luck!

Any suggestions on which tables to move inorder to keep user data and forums? I have an idea but do not want to miss one.

Everything is going fine up to this point... A few minor SQL issues that I corrected, but at this point I have users and forums migrated.

Thanks to everyone that helped... Much appreciated.
