As with most of the modules blocks on our site, they are modded from the orginal releases.
Most of the mods in them are cosmetic and basic workings of them remain intact.
I have no interest in releasing them or hosting the files.
Occasionally I get requests if ppl could have a copy. Where the orginal code is hosted around several nuke sites or I know the orginal coding is no longer supported and I have been unable to contact the orginal coder cause they have dissappeared, I will often pass the modded code on.

I have recieved a request for some very current to a block that I have modded, and is currently supported. The site that it created the code, and where it is currently hosts the files now, requests a donation to the download section due to recent events on other sites hosting the same files.
I have contacted/posted the site where the block was created and hosting asking permission to pass the modded block on (email)..To me this is the ethical thing to do.My question is "what would be a reasonable time frame to which allow for an answer?" bear in mind time zones and such.
There have been times in the past that I have never recieved a reply inspite of repeated requests.
Even without a reply, where the orginal is not freely hosted, I doubt if I would pass the code on anyway.

IMHO 7 days is sufficient time for most to reply to such requests.

Depends on the person, I suppose...

I'm terrible at answering mails and PM. Classic example: I was invited to be on the Coppermine Photo Gallery dev team, but missed out because I didn't check my mail for 3 months.

If it was me, I'd give them plenty of time. Maybe a month or two... Wink
