mod re-write with # in the url`s ?

Hello all, I have noticed that by clicking on my centre forum block on my front page of my sea fishing site and by clicking on the forum scroller that the urls have # symbols in them like this....

I remember reading somwhere this could be a problem?
any views on this ?

my concern really is that I have lost my index page rank and am trying to track down how to get it back

I have never read that nor do I see any problem. Have you contacted Google and asked for their assistance?

Hi Raven, do you see the hash`s when you mouse over and get the url`s?
I see them this end? I dont know if they have anything to do with the problem with rank to be honest.

They are not a problem. I have them too.

That is not a problem. That is just telling the browser what anchor to go to. It's a valid link and it should not affect Google's searching
