hi. i am helping set up another friend's site with nuke. when i go to install the script via her cpanel, it prompts me for a directory to install it to. i installed it to [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

but now when you type in the url, (ie, [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] it doesn't come up. how is nuke supposed to come up on the main page if it won't let me install it under the root directory? any advice? thanks! Smile

That's an issue with her host. You can use cPanel redirect (other control panels too) to redirect [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] to [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] But, when you install it and it asks for a directory, try just entering ./ or /

okay, update...........
i figured out how to redirect, now how can i "mask" the url in the bar?

for example, i have [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] to redirect to [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] but how can i make it so that [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] doesn't show in the address bar? Thanks! Smile

You really can't with her setup. If it were me, I would move the contents of [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] to [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] If she has root access to her server then that's the easy way, else use [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] Then all these problems go away.
