access denied error inside admin

Hello,

Ive been using 7.6 for a while and now put the admin folder of the 7.8 version and did the upgrade.php. when I try to login with my usual password it enters the admin and I can see the tools but theres a text that reads "access denied". What should I do to solve this?

Gustavo,

Why would you upgrade the database to 7.8 and only upgrade your nuke files for the admin folder? If you want 7.8 functionality, everything needs to be at 7.8. Since any version above 7.6 has security holes due to the implementation of the TinyMCE editor, I have avoided upgrading, so my next statement might be slightly off: did you also run each of the upgrade scripts to go from 7.6 to 7.7 and then again from 7.7 to 7.8?

OK, the reason I did that was because my 7.6 weblinks admin section wasnt working. So I thought if I put the 7.8 admin folder somehow it would fix it. And youre right, I didnt upgrade using all and each of the scripts. Also, I didnt copy everything over because I had done so many changes I didnt want to mess anything up, but I'll go for it.
