I am starting my own home/small business networking business, where I provide installation and support for small businesses who want computer networks but don't want to have to install it/support it themselves.

What I am wondering is what you guys think of using PHP-Nuke to power the site for my business? Obviously, there are other concerns I need to tackle first, but I do want to start the process of registering my domain name and getting a host and what-not. I do want to decide how I'm going to proceed with the webpage design part, though. I am not a super-whiz with this sort of stuff; I know basic html pretty well, but if I have to make something more complicated it's going to take me forever. I'm proficient enough at Nuke now that I can have the site setup in a few days, and that's mostly business information and image design and stuff.

So, I'm just curious, what do you guys think about having a small business site developed using Nuke. Is it professional enough? Is it a good resource for getting information to my customers in an easy-to-use way? My current website is for fun, and my members really like it. But this needs to be professional because it is the window into my business.

Thanks for your input!

I would suggest to look into some lite CMS if you are planning to use your website to present your business, nothing more and maybe have a "contact us" area. You can use PHP-Nuke as well but for your need it's not worth updating and patching it every month or so.
Here is a nice website where you can checkout a lot of free CMS that you might be able to use for your site: [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

Thanks for that great link, Mesum! These CMS's look like exactly what I need.
