There's only 5 when I look at your site. Did you close your browser and reopen it? Try deleting your cookies and flushing your cache.

**update** dumping the cookies work'd but the second I log'd in all 8 stroies came right back and the old articles box went back to no content. Is there a user setting for that as well?

It's a cookies thing on your computer/browser. With your borwser open, delete your temporary files. Then delete your cookies. Then close your browser. Now try it.

I'm useing IE, but negative on it being wholey a cookies issue. I just happen'd to be working on a friends computer I freshly wiped and reinstalled so I tried it on it and while not actually "log'd in" it show the correct number of articles but the second I log in with any user name and pass it goes straight back up to 8 articles on the main page. If you don't mind would you register and try it yourself?

Check your Preferences. Set this setting to NO

Let users change News number in Home?

Otherwise they can change it in Your Account and it defaults to 10.
