Use WinRAR. [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]
WinRAR 3.30 Trial should do you for now.

Have you tried drag and drop with your current WinZIP? WinZIP is suppose to be able to handle .tar files.

I know you'll think I'm stoopid, but I dont feel confident at all with anything other than zip files.

I just unzip them to a new folder on my puter then upload them to the server.

*edited*

Boy I feel really stoooooopid now. I've just done it with Winzip lol

Sowwy for being a dumbass.

Winzip handles tar.gz files. It will ask you if you want winzip to untar it and you just say yes. Then it will expand it just like a zip file.

You come to appreciate the tar.gz files on dialup they are usually considerably more compressed then zip files.

Don't feel bad, I use to be uneasy about anything but zip files until I learned how tar.gz's are made. It's a better compression system to make the downloads much smaller Smile
