Update old question - what mods still exist for pictures?

My site uses Gallery2 with the mod to bring it into RN.
Works OK, but taking care of Gallery2 is a hassle and it's way more than I need.

I know that there were a couple of attempts to replace this.
Do any of them still exist?
If so, where may I find them?

I am in the same situation with Gallery 2. I have it working okay with RN 2.5 but, as you say, "it's way more than I need.". Gallery 3 is lighter weight but still humongous and complicated and there is no integration solution.

What I am considering longer term is simply linking to Picasa web or Flickr or any of the many photo storage sites that have evolved over the last years. It would be relatively simple to stuff user links in a block or module and put them on your page. Then there would be no picture storage overhead on your site and probably more important you would not need to maintain the software or worry about security holes with users uploading files.

I have a couple of different Picasa galleries for download on my site for RN. One shows all your public albums while the other only shows a selected album. Flickr limits how many photos you can integrate into your site while Picasa lets you show all of them.

Wasn't there an initiative for RN - iGallery?
Also, I had thought that Devil Modz for Nuke had something?
Are these both gone to dust?

I haven't heard anything from Devil Modz since he first said he planned on picking back up on his modules.
