When I look in the group admin section, It only has the 2 user groups I created. New members are just floating with no group? Every new user has a (H) next to their names? I dont know what that means?

Adding every new user to a user group would be a pain! The site has over 1000 members. So going back and adding them all one by one is impossible.

I searched the forums and read many posts. I cant seem to find an answer why new users wouldn't be auto assigned to a Registered group after I create one?

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

nitroviper, first of all, the (H) means Hidden. It means the default is Hidden for these users or they have chosen to not have their presence be shown. Only an admin can see them on-line.

With regards to group memberships, most sites do not even need groups and therefore will operate just fine without them. There are already default "groups" such as anonymous, registered, subscriber and admin. These are already built into the core. If you need different groups, then this is where you would need to create the groups you need and then assign users to these groups.

Mine has no default groups. Just ones I have made. I have disabled users to register and be hidden. Yet it still hides them. I made a secondary regular user account and can still see the users with an (H)

The problem is if I want to mass email my users, most of them have no usergroup to email.

What version of RavenNuke do you have installed?

It seems to me 2.40.00 had a bug in it that was fixed in 2.40.01 about the users registering being set to hidden by default.

0001634: [Module - Your Account (RNYA)] Change default of User View Online Status to true (Palbin) - resolved.

Pretty sure its 2.40.01

Thats the folder I used to install it. Any way to check for sure?

I actually took a recent database from VB3 and converted it to phpbb2. Then I converted it to phpnuke raven nuke.

Basically it was just the users and forum posts tho. Only every new member says (H) The old members are fine. I think anyways lol.

I can confirm this bug:
If you deactivate "Allow online status to be shown" default field, then every user that registers is registered with a default of HIDDEN.

This will be addressed in the next release. It will default to show.
