Are you testing locally or live on your site?
did you chech for the right permissions on your root folder? CHMOD 0755 for folders and 0644 for files.
Do yo have some code on your own on your .htaccess file?
Are you pointing your browser in the right path?

Please chech any/all of the above to see if get to get it solved...

Few more questions...

How did you upload files to the server? FTP or cPnel?
Are you able to view some other page on the same server?
What's the url on your browser when you get this error message? btw this is what i meant by pointing browser into the right path
Did you upload the whole package or just the contents of the html folder?
Can provide with a link to your site?

maybe someone could throw something else that might be causing this but at teh moment this what I can think of...

www,sandboxvets.net
send me your e-mail address and I'll give you access to the site.

I used ftp to upload the files to the root and cpanel to set up the sql data base.

Mmmm, site is there but nothing is being displayed.

Try this... Should give us at least a clue of what's happening...

1. Open your FTP client software
2. Browse yo your root folder. Where mainfile.php and config.php files are located
3. Open up config.php and go to line 70 aprox.
4. Change $display_errors = false; to $display_errors = true;
5. Save the file and upload it back to your server
6. Enter the site again and if and error/warning shows up post back or PM me

No error message, what an issue.

I'll recommend then re-uploading all files with your FTP client again and make sure they are getting transfered in binary mode.

if you are referring to the:
"Sorry, this Module isn't active!"

go to administration -> modules
and make sure the news module is active and visible to: All Visitors

you may also have a theme problem, as you are missing the footer. noticed that same theme does that on the [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] site as well.

Error message appears in the middle of the web page home page.

You do not have permission to access the requested file
Hint: The server understood the request, but is refusing to fulfill it
Authorization will not help and you SHOULD NOT repeat the request as you may be banned

well i would look into the suggestion by jestrella, not sure how you set permissions using your particular FTP program, but with mine you just right click the folder/file and choose permissions/chmod and enter an appropriate value.

here is a link regarding ipswitch permissions setup: [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

make sure that you are set at 755 for folders and 0644 for files.

It appears you have the Error docs loaded as home in your modules admin. Your theme may not be loading the footer either. Try setting something like news or content as your home in the modules admin and also change themes to one of the pre installed ones to see if this may be theme related.
