Traffic counts

Ok I think something is wrong. But I'm not sure what. Or if it's a good or bad wrong. It's now 1 week into this month and I've used more then 1/2 my aloted bandwidth for the month. I've NEVER used this much so soon!!!!

I've been watching my page counts (as reported by nuke) and each day they are between 6,000 to 10,000 each day ... 30 days ago I was very happy to see 1,000 page views in a day Shocked

! In past years I had more files to download, more pictures to see, but less articles then I do now. Also my site was split into several domains, but even adding up all the numbers togather doesn't equal this. Bang Head

I know Sept, Oct & Nov are my really busy months ... but it's never been this busy ... should I be worried????

One other thing for Raven ... how come my cpanel doesn't have a backup icon? Smile

Reveiew your referrer/stats logs. More than likely you've been spidered/googled Wink

Ok ... it's there. I couldn't find it in my panic this morning when we where down :p What are the odd of have both you web hosters going down in a 24 hour period?!? Also, you have more icon in the cpanel them my 'other' hoster, so it's not where I'm use to it being Smile

You know about when the jump happened I think that's when I did the Alexia thing where I have a button on the bar for people to download.

I won't worry as much now. I have hot link active with mine and this site listed Smile

My downloads you have to register and enter the code. So I can't of any other way for people to steal bandwidth.

Wait a minute ... you just added the backup didn't you! When I posted this the web stats icon was 3rd row, far right ... now it's the 4th row far left.

Well nanner on you.... I was still able to make a back up of my database this morning!!! Wink
