Ok .. after 3 attempts of installing the new Sentinel it's kinda installed.

Q1: When you set the admin HTTP Auth - where does it pull the username and password from? I set it and couldn't get back into my site until I disabled it in the DB. Very Happy

Q2: When you set an expire on each of the blocker areas, is that the user is blocked for X amount of time or the blocker will work for X amount of time?

Q3: Did they ever add the let Gogglebot (& other friendly bots) do their thing or are they still blocked?

Q4: Where do I put all the _AB language files? I tried the admin & normal english files but still doesn't show the correct text Very Happy

C1: I like the advancement that this script has been going. I glad I found it!!! I haven't had any problems since installing it!!!

C2: I like being able to control each blocker with their own settings.

C3: I'm very happy with the Referer's blocker since I have a family friendly site!!!!

C4: WAY TO GO GUYS!!! KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK!!!

A1: When you install NukeSentinel 2 it pulls the login and password from your nuke_authors table to fill in the nuke_nsnst_admins table. So until you alter the login info thru the NukeSentinel Protected Admins area it is defaulted to be the same as your original admin login and password.

A2: It is how long that ip is blocked from entering the site. You will need to run the "Clear Expired Blocks" from you NukeSentinel admin menu to clear them daily. Also note that the times stored in the db use hours, minutes, and seconds so it may clear some of the expired bloxks but not others since they have not reached their true ending time.

Q3: We never blocked friendly bots to the best of my knowledge. If you are getting friendly bots that are being blocked look at the email you get . In that email it will tell you what "String Match" there was and them you can remove that string from the Harvest blocker's list.

Q4: You upload the language/sentinel/*.* files just like that to your site. This places the NukeSentinel language file in your language directory as a sub-directory.

If you don't understand any of this please wack me and tell me to be more clear or what ever I need to be Smile

Is there anywhere I can get a list of the spider bot IP's.

I have three IP addresses that have been blocked but when I look them up on [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] it says that this block has spiders present.

I think these might be yahoo.

IPS:
66.196.90.186
66.196.90.239
66.196.90.26

Actuall in looking at the blocks I think there maybe a problem with the script blocker:

Query Strings:
hackerassasins.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=9&ttitle=NukeSentinel(tm)
hackerassasins.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=7&ttitle=PHP-Nuke_v7.4_HA_Enhanced_v1.1_-_(Installer_Update)
hackerassasins.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=8&ttitle=PHP-Nuke_v7.4_HA_Enhanced_v1.1_-_(Sentinel_Update)

I guess I will have to disable it for now since I dont want it banning spider bots...

It's the (tm) - parentheses are not allowed in base nuke nor does Sentinel allow them as we copy from nuke.

Thanks Bob Very Happy

On A1: since I had such a problem with the install/update I don't think it pulled the right information for me. I just don't use that function now, not that I'd know why to use it anyway Smile

On A2: Thanks, that clears that up Smile

On A3: my googlebots have always been blocked since version 1.1.0 .. I don't know maybe they are bad bots and I don't know it Laughing

On A4: hmmm I have the language files there and they are still not working. Now they are in 3 places (admin/language; language; language/sentinel) but it's only the admin screen, so it's not effecting anything my users are seeing.

Does your site use a language other then english? On some servers the lang file isn't loading correctly when the site uses a language other then english. Still trying to find out why.

I fixed the language thing.

I totally uninstalled then installed 1.1.0 .. then upgraded to 1.2.0, then upgraded to 2.0.0. All went real easy and quick Very Happy

Everything is working like it should. So I bet I messed something up when I tried to upgrade before.

BTW .. yes I support all languages available with english being the default for admin & user.
