This is excellent info to have; just installed RN on my test site and it took me 7 tries to login. Because I do not see that good, the security codes given were extremely difficult for me to read. |

Yes, ty... I am aware of those values 1 thru 7 in the config file; I rather like the idea for security reasons... but was wondering where the image files are stored so I may make those easier to view. |

The image is created on-the-fly but there are some additional settings and comments that might be useful to you in includes/class.php-capatcha.php
With respect I don't want to appear as though I'm teaching you to suck eggs but consider that finding the right balance between the difficulty a human has in reading the CAPTCHA and the difficulty optical recognition software has in reading the CAPTCHA is a very fine line. You could probably reduce the 'noise' a bit which might offer a CAPTCHA more easily readable (see CAPTCHA_NUM_CHARS, CAPTCHA_NUM_LINES and CAPTCHA_USE_COLOUR).
Be aware though that making the font size much bigger can cause part of the security code to disappear off the background occasionally. |

If you have a wheelmouse you can hold the Ctrl key down and push the wheel forward to enlarge the captcha and everything else. Just FYI |
