These characters appearing - ÂÂ

I just did a full installation of 2.10.01. I wanted fresh files. However, I
am using a backup of my database.

Everything seems to be working so far except these character keep
appearing: ÂÂ

We use this special character "§" in some of our usernames and forum topics.
The "A's" I mentioned above always appear before this special character.
Looks like this at every occurance of this special "s" that we use.

§

These "A's" also show up in front of the links in the Administration Block.

My site didn't do this before reinstalling. Any ideas what this is and how
to fix.

It is probably a character set issue when you imported your database. Edit your admin block, change those weird characters to · or •

Thanks, I got it. I had to edit some usernames and forum titles to clear
those out.
