I'm afraid to post the actual email contents I got because I might get banned from here. A user of mine tried to embed a YouTube video in a forum post and got blocked. Just a heads up. Its probably because the object and embed tags had a h-t-t-p string in them.

Yup I got blocked for trying to post this the first time. Confused

Yes, that would be my guess if it was the Abuse-String blocker...

BTW, the author of NukeSentinel is considering writing a way to have the admin also store "exclusion strings". This would be a tremendous help for webmasters to allow valid uses of "http", but it has to be done very carefully and will take some time to evolve...

Yeah I think that would help. It would also be good if you could automatically exclude your own site URL, and then you would not get blocked when clicking on external links within the admin pages.

Hhhmmmm... interesting idea. Just sent a few folks an email to see what they say about this.

I just saw this thread a little too late.
I wanted to have a video forum on my site, but alas.
I understand I can just add e-m-b-e-d and the other s/cripts to the config, but that is not too cool.
It'd be great to be able to give h/tml permissions to certain users via Groups, so you know only the trusted ones are going to use them.

Quickie workaround is to go in and allow those tags in forums, post the vids, then go back and delete the tags. Or maybe I'll go check out some of the Nuke Video modules that have popped up here.
