Import users into Ravennuke(tm) from CSV

I have a list of my students in a CSV file that I would like to import. I am not too familiar with MySQL command lines, is there any way I can do this?

It sure would beat typing in hundreds of entries, and that takes forever!

There are various tools at various price points out there. Try googling "mysql import cvs" and you will see some of them.

I am assuming you want to import this data into the users table? If so, you'll need to "map" between what's in the csv file and the users table. Getting familiar with what's in the users table would be a good start. For instance, the users name in the users table is not subdivided into last name and first name and if you have your data that way you will need to do some manipulation before trying to load it. You'll also need a password for each user and that is stored as an encrypted value (MD5).

Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I think that you might be better off to give one of them the assignment to sit there and type them in thru the Nuke administrative interface. But maybe someone here has a better idea.
