You are using an Invalid IP to access this site!

Hi guys,

I know there have been a few posts with regard to the included sentinel installation in the 2.02.02 Distro.

However I know what's causing this but I am unsure on how to fix it being somewhat lacking in the technical department.

If I connect to an Internet server wirelessly it must give me a funny IP, as I receive the: "You are using an Invalid IP to access this site!" error.

If I hook my laptop up to a router through ethernet the site displays fine.

How would I go about fixing this? Many Thanks!

Several options:
- only connect through Ethernet
- add a range to your IP table that include the IP address when wireless
- Add

$bypassNukeSentinelInvalidIPCheck = true;

to your config.php to bypass the invalid IP check.

I had the same problem recently, as evaders mentioned, you just need to update your IP to country, this is not always WiFi related. If you look for "IP2country update" in this forum, you'll find posts that explain where to get the new data (NSN website) and how to upload them and import them in Sentinel.
