i wonder why the developing of RN3 could not have been achieved the way like here

a full OPEN development where all contributers could submit/commit their code, either accepted or not.

Is the "hidden" agenda just for people who have something to sale for this distribution?
Afraid of being forked?

What is the real reason of not contributing development stages to the public?

please not go tell 'it make confusion', or other NONSENSE.

As a long life USER of the first stages of php-nuke, being forced to use a more secured/forked php-nuke, for that be directed to ravennuke.
I somehow have double feelings for the initial community future.

I personally find it better that no one involving externally with in the development. If someone externally-aged in an unfinished process, thereby deviating from the intended path because he wants it either do not understand or would it make approach differently, there would possibly even before the official release several forks of it on the internet. There is yet no time pressure and you can just customize your own scripts then after the release. Should there be found errors, the team can fix this in a next version at any time.

wHiTeHaT,
There is no hidden agenda (nothing for sale) and there is nothing to stop anyone from "forking" what has been released.

Although we are considering making the code open, one of the issues we've discussed in the past is that it increases the number of support requests for people who ignore warnings that unreleased code hasn't been tested. Although it does cause "confusion," the more important issue is that it detracts from development on the next release. I'm not going to debate whether or not that's true in all cases or even most - just explaining the background so you understand that there is nothing to hide.

If you look at the history of RavenCMS as it grew from a distribution of secured phpNuke to a very different CMS of its own, you can see how the various members of the team became members of the team. Each provided support in professional way on this site and / or contributed addons or modifications that made something better.

We discuss team membership and releasing development code frequently, and may one day move in that direction. I understand your frustration, but encourage you to take a positive approach by contributing support, addons, modifications, etc. to build the community, while continuing to encourage the open direction you have suggested.

wHiTeHaT,

You know, your messages of late have had a rather sarcastic tone and I, for one, don't appreciate it nor do I think it's deserved. It's just plain rude. If you have a gripe that you need to get off your chest, then post it or PM it, but get over it, okay?
