I could ask elsewhere, but as you ladies & gents on here are people who's opinions I value...

Revenue Generation: anybody got any recommendations/ hints/ tips/ suggestions?

I'm not after in making the next dotcom....

Like many, covering costs would be a start Very Happy

I know this will vary a LOT dependant on the amount of traffic to the site, site content, etc.

So. What are your guys experiences?
Using affiliates (Amazon, etc/)- good/ bad?
Google Adsense -any good?
Third parties- such as affiliate future, etc.
Contextual link companies, such as infolinks, etc.
Selling space directly yourself? (If so, what's an "average" price, if there is such a thing?

I'm hitting around 20,000+ page views per day (seen it top over 50k lots lately), but I've got practically no advertising/ revenue generation. Upto 30% of the traffic are site indexes- google, etc.

Discussion/ suggestions/ feedback welcome. If I get no answers, I will assume it's the sort of stuff that people don't feel comfortable about discussing.

I'm not looking for "my site is bigger/ better/faster/ etc. than yours"- just a "real world" view- instead of the "bubble" I'm in Laughing
