I just installed RN 2.3 and noticed while trying to make a post via the forums I keep getting an 'Invalid Sessions Error Please resubmit form' any ideas?

Also, please search the forums first. you will find many of your answers already having been addressed... this one at least 30 times.

BTW, I would try the proper cookie settings first. But, if you or your users happen to be behind proxies which change the IP address on you, I just realized Raven added this nice FAQ from the phpBB folks:

I looked at the FAQ answer and looks simple to fix but can't find the file described here... "The change requires you to open the file sessions.php in the includes/directory of the distribution. Search for $ip_check_s and this line"

I have looked in the includes file but cannot find session.php. Any helpers?

tallygd, this is not a code problem to fix. It is a cookie set up problem in your forum configuration. I wish I could find the thread, but it is here which talks about how to properly set up your forum cookies. That should really be the FAQ I think...

I have found a thread Here that explains it all.

I have had this problem on both RN installs I have done and this simple fix has always done the job Smile

There are a few posts here also, this one in particular:

There is also a tool for helping to get your cookies right.

Thanks. Just as an FYI the equivalent fix(es) can be found in these forums Smile and it's not really an RN issue Wink

Just a question (sorry for the dp)

In my forums, if you click on the latest post tab it doesn't take you to the latest post but just to the top of the forum where it was posted.

Is there any way around this?

bilko,

Hey, no apology needed. Chris K. has excellent resources and we are in good standing with each other. I could have worded that better now that I reread it - sorry.

You will need to wait for your DNS to properly resolve as you are wasting your time diagnosing this with the temporary address you are using.
