Greetings!, I have a quick question.. I just bought a domain name for 2 years, was wondering how to transfer my php nuke 6.9 site to that domain, so i can lose the long url from my host..I contacted my host they emailed me back, saying something like you have to export and inport from phpMyadmin..can somebody tell me he how to tranfer my site in easy terms..thanks Smile

A domain name points to a server, somewhere, via your registrar's DNS, which translates the domain name to an IP, that maps to your server. Aquiring a new domain name does not require moving anything. Have you also changed hosts? If so, then you will have to physically transfer the files and the tables. Let me know.

Get registered or login to the forums!
domain so i dont have to use the long url from my host or one of those short. 2ya etc..url's. just need to know how to get my PHP-Nuke website on the domain I purchased..thanks

You need to point your domain name to your hosts DNS. It may take 24 to 48 hours to work its way through the Internet, but once it gets populated, it should be automatic.
