User not being assigned a group on registration

Hi there everyone.

I had a lot of problems trying to figure out how to edit user permissions in the forum, only to find a fix that stated it was because the YA module wasn't assigning a user to a group upon registration. I fixed all of the existing accounts, and found

Only registered users can see links on this board!
Get registered or login to the forums!

from chatserv to patch the stock YA module to assign the user to a group so you won't have this problem again down the road.

Problem is, I can't find this code anywhere in CNB_YA. I've looked in the obvious includes/public and index files, but can't figure out how to apply this so I won't have to keep fixing new accounts.

Has someone already patched theirs? If so, could I see where? If not, could someone help me find out how to patch it?
