hi, great guestbook you have made there, thanks for putting it in the download section.
Still i got a question as a php-newbe. Is there away that i can call the questbook into a page that is in my root folder?
for example: i got a page named, quests and three tables in there , i want the questbook be loaded in the main table. so i put the ?include("/kisgb/index.php");?> code in there but it doesnt work. is there away round this.

Thanks man.

your work is appreciate.

I know the table embedding leaves alot to be desired Embarassed . There are few sites , out of the several hundred that I know of that use KISGB, that use it within a table and I've just never gotten around to simplifying it. To answer your question though, it should not matter. Have you modified the $root_document setting as per the instructions?

I've got exactly the same problem. But i'm not sure, how to modify the $root_document setting (path or URL, relative or absolute) - and does it have to point on the index.php, or on the guestbook.php?

On my guestbook page (as on all other pages on my website) there a JavaScript Navigation bar on top - if i do call an .php document, all the graphics of the navigationbar are gone. Is this "normal" to JavaScript/PHP?

BTW: Great Guestbook (to be honest: the best i found on the net after several days of searching) - keep up the good work.Very Happy

Regards,
Dieter

Here is a mini-tutorial submitted by another user. See if this helps.

Also, please make sure you have read the documentation that I include with KISGB. I explain how to embed kisgb in a table. Let me know if this solves your install problems. If not, I will not be able to address this until week after next. I have other obligations this entire next week.
