associated topics and categories - can't figure it out

what I can't figure out is the relationship between all of them.

If I check an associated topic, what happens? Is there a link created for this story in the other topics? If not, what's the purpose?

And what is the categories about? I can't see anything module-wise about categories.

and I feel dumb for not being able to figure this out. Smile

Depending on your theme, the associated topic may or may not appear in the links where Read More is, etc. Also, it will appear in multiple topics if you select Topics.

ahhhh!!!! maybe the theme is why I can't figure it out. DOH!

I'll try the default theme (which I assume works).
