lol I did that when I first started. . .

I am making a couple of assumptions here, but if you are running phpnuke with phpbb installed for your forums, then it sounds like you have messed with the general configuration settings for your phpbb. If you are using php-nuke, sign into your admin.php page, click forums, then General Admin, Configuration and look for these settings

Enable account activation / Make is say None

Enable Visual Confirmation
Requires users enter a code defined by an image when registering. / Make this say NO

Allow automatic logins
Determines whether users are allowed to select to be automatically logged in when visiting the forum / make this one say YES

Dont change anything else, save your settings and try again.

if you are only using phpbb, then we'll have to address this through sql, so you'll need access to your control panel or mysqladmin. I don't know the field names but it's under bb_config somewhere. if you need help shout back.

Hello many thanks I was missing the bit "Enable Visual Confirmation
Requires users enter a code defined by an image when registering. / Make this say NO " so I loaded up the default theme and it was there to change the option Very Happy
